Having a social media profile is not a replacement for having a website.
They need to coexist.
A website should be a business or brand’s central hub with everything else linking back to it.
With a website, you own it.
You own the content, you own the hosting account, you own the design.
You are in complete control of what happens with your website.
Whereas with social media profiles, you don’t own them and you don’t have completed control over them.
Policies could change. Your account could be reported. Or, it could be blocked and deleted.
Maintaining control over something that is a go-to resource for people to find out more about you is critical.
Websites are essential to any brand so put the effort in and do it right.
