As a rule of thumb, I don’t listen to someone when they go out of their way to tell me how busy they are. I’ve generally found that when they do this, they aren’t busy and are instead caught up in a fantasy of wanting to be busy.
The actual busy people just go about it and make it work. They don’t need to tell people, they don’t need a pat on the back and they don’t need sympathy or recognition from people for what they are doing that makes them busy.
The people that are busy, often don’t even see it as being busy. They see it as just having a lot going on as part of their plan and they prioritise everything to make it all work and keep moving forward. Because if they don’t, they aren’t going to achieve what they want.
