When we really want something to go in our favour, we often try to force the outcome.
We get impatient, we skew the facts or we try to persuade people to side with our reasoning for wanting a particular outcome.
The focus on forcing an outcome often becomes a game and we lose focus of why we really wanted that outcome in the first place.
Sometimes, it’s better to walk away from a problem rather than trying to force an outcome.
You can’t solve everything, and not everything will always go your way.
Pick the problems that you can fix or solve and walk away from the others.
