Problem solve on paper

The best way I have found to problem solve is on paper.

Now, I’m normally a tech and app kind of guy and run my life digitally. But, getting out paper when I have a problem or challenge gets me better results.

Just the process of thinking and writing things down often helps to bring clarity to the problem.

The approach I take can differ every time and I generally don’t try to have a set way of doing this.

Sometimes, I’ll mind map out everything and connect everything together.

Sometimes, I’ll just start writing bullet points of anything and everything that comes to mind. Then I can look at all my notes and start breaking things down.

The main thing is to just let things flow without worrying too much about it all.

If I’m working with someone else on a problem, I still take this approach and find it generally helps everyone involved.
