Working out if you need it

If you are unsure as to whether you really need something or not before buying it, try this…

Implement a waiting period for any purchases other than your day to day expenses. 24 hours or 48  hours normally works well.

If you think of something that you want, hold off on doing anything until after the waiting period.

After the waiting period, if you are still thinking about it and feel that you need it, go ahead and make the purchase.

You will be surprised at just how many things don’t make it past the waiting period.
