The easiest way to not make money, is to chase money.
I’m all for wanting money, but I’ll work for it and do what’s needed to sustain it long term.
Whenever I’ve chased money, it either doesn’t work out or backfires on me in some way.
Do something because you want to be doing it or you believe in the long term value it will provide. Then focus on that and don’t let the temptation of chasing money in the short term get to you.
