At some point in my life, I’ve lost something from every aspect of it.
I’ve lost businesses. I’ve lost staff. I’ve lost prospective deals.
I’ve lost family. I’ve lost friends. I’ve lost relationships.
I’ve lost respect. I’ve lost integrity. I’ve lost purpose.
In each of these circumstances, I held the power and could have created a very different outcome for myself.
But I didn’t.
I didn’t fight for them. Either at all or not enough if I did try.
The lesson is pretty simple. You have to fight for what you want.
If you believe in yourself and what it is you want, you owe it to yourself to fight for whatever it is that you are losing control of or missing out on.
Don’t let obstacles get in your way. Don’t let people tell you otherwise. Don’t let rejection put you off.
Confidence is the key here. Know what you want. Know why you want it.
Do whatever it takes to fully understand the situation. Then do whatever it takes to make other people involved to better understand things.
Then work your ass off to fight for what it is you want.
Don’t take no for an answer until you have exhausted every possible avenue.
In most situations, if you really commit to fighting for it, you will win.
If you don’t, you at least know you did everything possible to fight for it.
You never know when something could be life-changing, so as the saying goes …
Some things in life are worth fighting for.
