If there’s one room in the house that you’re going to decorate, make it your home office.
As an entrepreneur, this is the room where you will/should be spending most of your time.
You want it to be comfortable for long periods of time and to have easy access to everything you need.
You also want the room to motivate you. So decorate it with whatever is going to do that. Have some motivational posters or canvas prints, photos, sayings, vision board or whatever else will help you.
For me, I like to keep it minimal and motivating. I love technology so I make sure my home office has all the gizmos that also help me stay productive. I have an Amazon Echo Show so I have a smart assistant throughout the day. I have Hue lights throughout the office so I can easily change the colour of the room or have accent lighting of a night. I have some motivational prints that I’ve made myself and put in frames. I have a big electric standing desk but keep keep the things on it fairly minimal. I make sure I’ve always got something that smells nice so either a candle or diffuser. I also have a plant on the desk and a larger happy plant in the corner of the office.
For productivity, I use my MacBook laptop along with an iPad. I have a screen I connect my laptop too but I’m about to upgrade this to a massive 49″ curved monitor so I can have more open at once. This is something that I think will help with productivity but it could just as easily become a distraction so I’ll have to wait and see.
